Complete: Chelt Emergency Network Maintenance

November 28th, 2011

Update:

Maintenance has been completed. Thanks for your patience.

Good Evening,

Further to our email sent at 15:04, it has become necessary to issue an emergency maintenance notification where the line card in one of the Telehouse (London) Core Routers will be replaced. The issues we faced earlier were due to a faulty card, we were then put onto a backup card whilst tests continued and a replacement was sent to the datacentre.

Engineers are now on-site and will be replacing the faulty card today at the time below:

Start: 19:00 (GMT)
End: 19:30 (GMT)

Whilst we aim for as little customer impact as possible, some customers may see a few minutes outage whilst routes update.

Once again, thanks for your continued support and patience. If you have any questions, our Support Desk and Website will be available throughout. Wolverhampton customers are not affected.

Complete: LinuxWeb Server Migration

September 27th, 2011

Dear all,

In light of the downtime the week before last we are scheduling some planned maintenance on our LinuxWeb webserver where we will move the physical machine to our Cheltenham Point of Presence.

IP Addresses will need to change however, for the most part clients who use our nameservers will not need to do anything. If you are a reseller located on this machine, your nameserver IP’s will need to change to the following:

NS1 =178.239.166.119
NS2 =178.239.166.120

If you point your www A records to us you will need to change these to: 178.239.166.118

** Please note: Don’t change any records until the beginning of our maintenance window as the changes simply won’t work! **

The move details are as follows:

Date: 29-09-201130-09-2011
Time
: 23:30 - 02:30
Details
: Migrate our Linuxweb Webserver to Cheltenham

Our Website and Support system will be available throughout the maintenance window as we have since moved this to a server located in Maidenhead.

Whilst we have allocated 3 hours for the window, we are aiming to have the machine back up within 1hr and 30mins. I’d like to thank you for your continued co-operation during this window.

If you have any questions, please submit a support ticket.
